📢 Michelle Nard Announces Write-In Campaign for Macomb County Commissioner- District 12!
Meet Michelle Nard: A dedicated CDC Child Care Provider and Incumbent Macomb County Commissioner. Raised as number 11 of 12 siblings in a bi-partisan household, Michelle brings a unique perspective and excellent communication skills to the table.
Achievements: Wrote proclamations and resolutions supporting back-the-bill initiatives, financial literacy, and school safety. Advocated for the development and repair of major roads. Proudly serves as the Vice Chair of the Government Oversight Committee.
🚀 Why I'm Running:
Due to the moving of polling locations on the day of the August 6 primary, many voters were disenfranchised. Additionally, the lack of adequate parking for seniors and people with disabilities at one of the larger voting locations was unacceptable. I'm running as a write-in candidate to ensure every voice is heard and every vote counts!
🔑 Core Issues:
Aging and Senior Services: As the aging population grows, we must develop more affordable housing options and community centers to support them.
Community Health and Wellness: With the rise in homelessness, the need for affordable and attainable mental health services is increasing. We must address this issue in a more sensitive yet meaningful manner.
Public Safety: Due to the rise in crime and the shortage of police officers, we must find ways to increase pay and develop incentives to retain and attract more qualified officers committed to protecting and serving our communities.
